A Glimpse Of SELAH…
SELAH Social Services was established as a non-profit organization in April 2010. SELAH is a Hebrew word that is found in the Psalms. To us, it means “pause, rest, reflect, & pray”. To us, it also means Supporting Every Life & Allowing Hope. We exist to strengthen and encourage women with cancer through information and readily available resources.
SELAH's mission is to strengthen women who are fighting cancer by providing support, information, and resources to promote life and hope through the work of Jesus Christ.When the organization first began, the SELAH team had a vision of hiring a social worker as well as a program manager to provide case management and counseling services to women with cancer. While SELAH continues to serve women with cancer, the organization has transitioned to become a primarily online resource.
Our goal is to be a support system to women and provide information that will make their experience with cancer more manageable. Please use our website as a resource, an encouragement, and a tool.
We are based out of Buda/Kyle (South Austin), Texas, with connections across central Texas. When able, we love to invite our followers to special events hosted by SELAH such as Pampering Days for women with cancer and Parent’s Night Out. Stay tuned for upcoming events on our website!
